HOW TO INSTALL THE STUDIOTOOLS DWG/DXF IMPORT PLUG-IN
On this CD you have been shipped an executable file called DWGDXF_ImportPlugin.exe.
This plug-in provides you with the ability to import DWG and DXF files into
the Alias StudioTools software.
INSTALLING
1. To install the plug-in, double-click on the DWGDXF_ImportPlugin.exe file.
2. An InstallShield Wizard opens to guide you through the installation process.
You are prompted to
"Please enter the folder where you want these files saved.
If the folder does not exist, it will be created for you.
To continue, click Next."
The files should be saved to the top-level StudioTools13.0 application folder.
The default location is
C:\Program Files\Alias\StudioTools13.0
If you have installed StudioTools in another location, browse to the top level
of the directory by clicking "Change..."
3. When the correct directory name is shown in the window, click Next >.
The files are quickly installed, and you are prompted to exit the wizard.
LOADING THE PLUG-IN
To enable the plug-in, open Utilities > Plug-in Manager in StudioTools, and
place a check mark beside DWGDXF to load the plug-in, and one in the Autoload
column if you always want it loaded.
